This page explains who publishes InvestWise4U, where the numbers come from, how the rankings are produced, and what we will not claim. If you are deciding whether to trust a figure on this site, this is the page that should tell you.

What we are not

InvestWise4U is not a licensed financial adviser, broker, fund manager or research house. Nothing published here is a personal recommendation, and no one at InvestWise4U knows your full circumstances. We hold no client money, execute no trades and earn no commission from any provider listed. See the full financial disclaimer.

Who publishes this

Articles and tool explanations are published under the InvestWise4U name rather than an individual byline. That is a deliberate choice, and we would rather state the reason than let you guess: the site speaks as a publication, and attaching a personal name to financial content implies a named professional is standing behind the advice. We are not making that claim.

Content is produced and reviewed by the InvestWise4U editorial team against the standards on this page. Where a figure comes from an outside source, that source is named in the text so you can check it yourself rather than take our word for it.

Where the numbers come from

Product data — yields, minimums, fees, lock-in periods and regulatory status — is compiled from published central bank figures and the providers' own published terms. It is maintained as a periodically updated reference set, not a live market feed, and every product card on the site says so with the date it was last checked.

That distinction matters. A rate quoted here may have moved since it was recorded. Always confirm the current terms with the provider before committing money. We label the data this way rather than implying a precision we do not have.

Two figures in the inflation simulator are fetched live from the Federal Reserve Economic Data service: the 10-year Treasury yield (DGS10) and US CPI year-on-year (CPIAUCSL). Each is labelled on screen with its source, and the tool falls back to a clearly marked long-run average if the service is unavailable.

How the rankings are produced

The shortlist is generated by a transparent scoring model, not by editorial preference and not by anyone paying for placement. Each option is scored against four inputs you provide — the amount you have, your time horizon, your goal and your risk tolerance — with fees applied as a penalty.

Every card shows its own score and the reasoning behind it. If a product ranks first, the page tells you which component of the score put it there. You are meant to be able to disagree with the result and see exactly where your judgement differs from the model's.

We take no commissions, run no affiliate links to any financial provider, and no provider can pay to appear, to rank higher, or to be removed. The site has no commercial relationship with any institution it lists.

How articles are written

Articles exist to explain the arithmetic behind a financial question, not to generate search traffic for its own sake. Each one states its assumptions — the rate of return it uses, the period, whether figures are before or after tax — because a projection without its assumptions is a number with no meaning.

Where an article makes a claim about returns, the claim is framed as arithmetic rather than prediction. No asset class is described as guaranteed, no timeline is presented as certain, and compound projections are shown alongside what inflation does to them over the same period.

We periodically consolidate overlapping articles rather than publishing a separate page for every variation of a question. A single guide that answers a question across every figure is more useful than a dozen that each answer it once.

Corrections and maintenance

If a rate, fee or product detail on this site is wrong, we want to know and we will fix it. Report it through the feedback page, which exists for exactly this purpose, or email support@investwise4u.com.

Corrections to a published figure are made to the page itself. Where a correction changes the substance of a recommendation rather than a typo, the change is noted on the page rather than made silently.

Content is reviewed on an ongoing basis: articles that have gone stale are updated or retired, and retired URLs redirect to whatever replaced them rather than being left to break.

Conflicts of interest

InvestWise4U is free to use and carries no subscription. The site may display advertising, which is bought programmatically and has no influence on which products are ranked, how they are scored, or what the articles say. Advertising is labelled where it appears and is never presented as a recommendation.

No member of the editorial team accepts payment, gifts or hospitality from a financial provider in exchange for coverage.
